Quick question regarding the front sway bar bushings: Is the rubber bushing mounted through the body or does it sit on the outside of the body, held by the 3 holed cover?

Quick question regarding the front sway bar bushings: Is the rubber bushing mounted through the body or does it sit on the outside of the body, held by the 3 holed cover?

It is held between the inner fender and the 3 hole cover. If you remove the drop link and the cover, you can remove the bushing. Its a little tricky to get the round ID bushing over the square end of the sway bar but it can be done.
Thanks. Found also that a liberal dose of lube really makes it easier to get the sway bar into the rubber bushings.
Additionally if the sway bar won't turn once the 6 bolts are tightened (3 on each side of the bar cap) then go back to above.
Don't ask me how I know, or this is what I did today.
