Received CoA today. Few questions

Hi. Received my COA today. I have a few question.

1. Vin says it's a "T". I tend to agree. If I decode the engine number correctly I think the 95 in the middle denotes it as a "sporto". Engine is 6119546. I don't think it can be both. Car has a 5 speed. Thoughts? Originally I figured someone put a sporto engine into my chassis.
2. Is "trim strips on the rims" actually the chrome strips on the wheel well openings?
3. I've seen "Comfort Equipment" and "Comfort Group". I've seen them on the same year COA. Any idea how PCNA chooses the terminology?

2. yes. Anodized Aluminum Fender Strips was the official term.

3. Comfort Group was the period term used in 1969, by 1970 it was called Appereance Group.
However, most people continued to use the term Comfort Group, as both mean the same.
Comfort Equipment was never an official term neither was S-package, S-Group, S-Equipement etc.
The PCNA did not choose the terminology, this was done by the official Porsche Distributor in his period literature. They (PCNA) today are no experts and do misinterprete factory kardex infos and/or create their own descriptions, sometimes not knowing the official terms anymore.

That was a fully loaded 1971 T, including special paint Gold metallic.



BTW, on a very personal note, Ehinger is a family name of swiss origins. Cheers.

Thank you very much for the reply. My family history shows us coming from Ehingen in South West Germany. I did not know about the origins in Switzerland. I've spent a great deal of time in the region and I feel most at home in the Zurich area.

I am curious about the engine number. I'll have to dig in and find out why it shows the engine is from a sportomatic.

Isn't there also a type code on the engine? Sportomatic should be 911/06, for a 'T'. I am far from an expert though.

Looked into it further, Engine type could also be 911/08 for USA and Canada 'T's. If I am reading it correctly.

I always thought 'comfort' equipment was hydropneumatic struts and 14" Fuchs...
