69 S Flasher location
All of a sudden I have neither turn signals or emergency flashers. Before I go on a fishing expedition I would like to check the flasher cans, but I’m not sure which ones they are. In the trunk in the right (driver) corner behind the hinge there are 4 cans, 1 tall one and 3 short ones. Are any of these what I’m looking for? Any ideas or guidance would be greatly appreciated, it’s HOT in my garage! TIA

I believe the tall one is the flasher relay.

Thank you, I’ll try that one first.

Reassembling car, struggling with wire routing. I am assuming the tall flasher goes in the trunk, but unsure of it's position. Would it be possible for someone to post pics of trunk plug locations as well as drivers side under dash?

69S. Kind of crowded under the dash. This is a shot just behind the ignition switch. Let me know if you need something more specific.
Please note that if you have two 10 position fuse blocks in the left front corner of the trunk, the proper schematic is SL33. If you have a 10 position and an 8 position, the schematic is SL35.
There also seems to be a small flasher unit at the bottom of the lower fuse box.

A trick that works on some Mercedes models with the same problem is to quickly cycle the emergency flasher switch on and off perhaps five to ten times.

Bob,
Thanks for the pics and I think my main question is answered. It looks like the tall Hella flasher goes in the trunk with the plug going through one of the large holes. My car has 3 small cans in the trunk and this one makes 4 total. Is there an additional short can behind the Hella unit?

Thanks again. Here's where I ended up and I think it's correct - BTW, plugs on 50 yr old car a bitch to push through holes!
