Drivers side threaded nut broke loose (where the strap with the buckle screws in) when I was trying to unscrew the strap end. As you know can't get behind the sheet metal to replace this any suggestions on a fix for this?

Done that several times Mike. I use a flanged 8mm nut, grind most of the hex off the nut, it will then drop in the existing hole (after all remnants of old nut are out) then mig weld the nut in around the flange, grind down welds, undercoat and you can't tell it was done.

Rivet nut insert would also work without necessity of welding.
My Porsche tech is going with Ed's recommendation.
