And is it worth it?
If you mean will it bolt on, the answer is no. If you mean can I weld things up and make it fit then the answer is yes. Is it worth doing then no.
Better off sourcing correct components for the 69.
If you use late model front control arms you can install a late model front bar. Drilling and tapping of crossmember for brackets will be required (two 8mm holes).
If you have ball sockets on your rear control arms you can use a rear bar up to 1976. If you want to use a later bolt-on rear bar you can buy adjustable drop links with ball socket ends thereby increasing your available options for rear sway bars.
My recommendation is to find a factory setup for the front to avoid changing front arms, and then go with whatever bar you need in back to make the car feel comfortable for you.
Thank you. I figured as such. I noticed a set of 930 sway bars for sale on CL today and wondered if they'd work. My search here turned up nothing.
I don't think that you want a 930 rear bar, even though you might get it to fit using Marco's advice, the reason being that 930 rears are all bent up to clear the 930 transmission. In other words, if you go this route, find an 80s Carrera rear sway bar.
