Excellent 1967 912 coupe
Not quite a 911, but a nice SWB car... For sale is one of the nicest 912 coupes around. This 5 speed car has 83,000 miles on it, the engine was rebuilt about 25,000 miles ago. Very nice polo red paint, perfect interior done with squareweave carpets, the only known rust on the car (front pan) was cut out and replaced with a complete new pan (24 hours labor), not cheaply patched. Recently replaced torsion bar/swing arm bushings, all shift bushings (and the metal lock out plate), 4 wheel alignment after bushings and pan replacement, new ceramic coated Bursch exhaust replaced original exhaust, and new RSR0012 distributor. A PPI was done on the car, and found that there were a few maintenance items that should be done to make the car perfect, and some of the components were original 83,000 mile parts. Rather than discount the price by the mechanics price to fix them, I did the following work to the car to make it perfect, this is everything that was on the PPI report:
Front and rear main seals (and new flywheel nut)
new ball joints
new tie rod ends
replaced front wheel bearings
replaced brake lines and pads
replaced first gear synchro (and all trans seals while out)
The only wear item on the PPI that I did not address were the tires, they were less that 50% tread left, but still very usable. I think tire choice should be left to the next owner, the current tires will last many months and miles.
