pretty sure not... I have a set of 66MM non-S type rods. that said, I don't think rods are expensive.
I am not familiar with these components. Was the journal welded to be within spec limits. What is the history. does it need to be balanced.
i am getting ready to build my first 6 but don't know if crankshafts are generally sent out for balancing as is usual with the 356 / 912. I have not balanced this unit nor was that checked. I received it as offered. I sent it out to be magged. the party I bought this from, in his hayday, was a tuner and race car prep for the likes of George Folmer and Don Wester among others. he had it on the shelf for quite a while & couldn't recall where it came from. this was among many other odds & ends I picked up @ the time.
