That clock is a first see for me. What is its part number? How is the timer function set? What is the intended use for the "external heater?"
By turning the knob the disc shown in the window left of the knob turns. There is no white watch hand like in normal clocks.
There is one blue wire at there back. I suggest, that if the time that is set for starting the external heater is reached, the clock sends 12 V or an Impuls on the blue wire outlet.
The partnumber on the face is not different from a normal 67 clock.

Very cool and probably very rare. I´ve never seen one before for Porsche. But I´ve seen some similar early VDO clocks with Eberspaecher Heater Timer for VW:s on the samba. You should try to do a search on that site. I enclose some links below
