"Porsche" Batteries
As a thank you for my help with a project, a friend of mine gave me a pair of interesting batteries today. They've never had acid added and are brand new. I'd like more information about them if anyone is familiar with them. They have white bodies with black top, built-in handles that fold out, and have the following written on the top:
Top Right
---------
MOLL
Kamina
536 24
12V 36Ah 175A
Made in Germany
Center
-------
PORSCHE
Original Teile - Genuine Parts
999-611-036-20
Anyone know anything about them? I'm thinking they would be nice in my '73 S.
Thanks,
John Audette

36 Ah sounds about right for each. What are the EXACT dimensions in mm?

For about 15 years now I have been using only gel type batteries in my 911's. No acid to gas or spill, no rusted front pan, and no having to add water. They are made by Sonneschein, German made, and are an exact duplicate of the original, in size, shape and post location. It's the only way to fly. Oh, and they last about 6 years.

Ed,
Do they make one that fits a 69 912 battery box (45ah)? Some day when I finish working out all the non-shifting issues on the sporto, I plan to finish my 912. Thanks
