I want to install a rear tow hook on my SWB (anachronism?), reproductions seem fine with me, what should I use for attachment (bolt type, sizes, etc?) What would you use if you were doing this for your best friend :D?
Thanks

There aren't many places to bolt on a tow hook, the factory one used the bumper mounting to body. What did you have in mind?
Ed, yes, the factory one...like this one

so one point of attachment is the bumper mounting to the body and the other? what am I not seeing?
You're seeing it all ;) There are two attachment points, one to each of the two bolts that attach the bumper to the body. Remove those two (usually allen head) and bolt up the hook using slightly longer bolts.
As part of the 67 Sports Purpose Parts #9521, Option M428, both the stock bolts & washers were replaced. When compared to standard hex bolts, Allen bolts are easier to install but accumulated road grime makes them slightly harder to remove on a street car.
