Anyone making these items?...Thanks
They are being reproduced in Taiwan in small batches. At least they were 2 years ago when I bought some other parts from a seller who had them.
I never compared them 1:1 but they looked pretty good.

Thanks, anyone else have some info?...cliff
Sierra Madre shows them in their catalog.
Link here.
I've seen them in person. I would classify them as "OK". Certainly not to be confused with the real thing.
Is the Sierra Madre reproduction tool kit any good? Certainly looks the part at less than half the cost.
Could be. I have no idea the date of manufacture for the pair I saw.
I bought a very nice original set at Hershey last year and the seller also had a set of the repros so I got to compare them side by side. I distinctly remember that I could easily tell the difference between them when I held them up to the sun. The repros appeared to have a different level of translucence and the color reacted differently to the light coming through the handle. There was also something else about the handle but I can't remember exactly what it was. Something related to the mold, I think.
I should clarify that an "OK" rating from me isn't the end of the world as I tend to think almost all repro parts are crap (yours excluded, of course, Erik).
I have examined the 10 Commandments of Porsche Ownership and cannot find one about tool kit fidelity, per se, but #1 maybe the closest.
THE 10-COMMANDMENTS OF PORSCHE OWNERSHIP (with acknowledgement to an original Pelican source)
I. Thou shalt love and respect thy Porsche and keep it in such condition that its value shall not falter.
II. Thou shalt not have thy Porsche washed by any machine.
III. Thou shalt not love thy Porsche more than thy spouse and children; as much, but not more.
IV. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's Porsche, but thou mayest covet his concours awards, or Recaro sports seats
V. Thou shalt not despise thy neighbor's BMW, nor his Mercedes, nor even his new water-pumping Porsche.
VI. Thou shalt not drive thy Porsche faster than the posted speed limit except on the track,or when no police presence is deemed to be nearby.
VII. Thou shalt not neglect household chores to care for or drive thy Porsche unless such chores may be postponed again.
VIII. Thou shalt not deceive thy spouse into thinking that thou art taking a pleasant drive when, thou art going out to look at another Porsche.
IX. Thou shalt not tell thy spouse the entire cost of thy latest restoration; at least not all at the same time.
X. Thou shalt always wave to other air-cooled Porsche drivers thou shall meet upon the highway knowing that they share thy love for the world's finest sports car
