No slot on the back. Apparently a PO drilled holes for a rubber impact pad. Has a good sized dent in the front, too. Driver quality, according to my personal interpretation. $100.00 plus shipping and any applicable fees. Ca residents will need to pay sales tax.

My May of '65 car has the same guards, ie no slot. I think they went to the slot soon after.

I think the slots were before these, ie 1964-March 1965. I do not know when the ones like on offer here have ended and the ones with the plastics backs were introduced. With or without slots are not often for sale, there are also no repros as far as I know.
No slots were first. Then the slots.
Changeover to plastic back was early 1968 (IMHO).

Any idea why slots at all? Due to the slots they collect dirt and leaves. It might be coincidental but the no slots seem to have stand time much better as does the metal of the bumper underneath.Quote:
