I have both a driver and a passenger SWB regulator, not sure what year it is. How can I identify if they are '65? Like to help.
Best,
Anna
No need to post a picture.
Here are the 3 basic types of regulators for long hood cars.
The top one is 64 - 66
The middle one is 67/68
The bottom one is 69 and later (does not interchange with a SWB car)
The middle one can be used in an earlier car by relocating 2 of the 4 mounting holes. That was done to provide a more stable base for the regulator.
Note: These are all right hand sides. The left hand ones are a mirror image
Quick way to ID them..............SWB ones have square corners on the base and LWB ones have an angled side on one end.
Thank you kindly Jim.
I'll ask my brother to send me a picture of the pair I have. Parts are in AR, I'm in Manhattan. I know for certain they are SWB, and now I am pretty sure they are the 64-66. I did buy them as spares for my '66 911.
txs guys. anxiously awaiting pics.
Confirmed. 64-66 type, both left and right side. I'll post pics tomorrow.
Have a good evening
Anna
