Broken plastic piece. Looking for a fix.

Has anyone repaired this. I have a couple ideas but hope someone has come up with a successful fix.

I would throw it in the trash and get another one off my shelf. My situation is not quite the same as yours, though. :)

The difficulty fixing these is the tension from the encircling clip.

For a getter-done, ghetto kind of solution, drill a small hole on the broken side, put a screw in and wire wrap it.

for a less ghetto style solution use a black screw and a O-ring....not that i would do it this way but i hate what we call "spezial drahtverschraubung"

I had a second set of parts with a few posts left. I cut them off and put them on the nicer set.
