Porsche 911S cars in 1967 Kent 300 Trans Am, Pacific Raceways, Kent, Washington

Apparently, there were three Porsche 911S cars in the 1967 Kent 300 Trans Am at Pacific Raceways, Kent, Washington. I would like to know VIN numbers and where they are now.

#91, Gary Wright/Mike Eyerly...they finished sixth overall and won the U2L class. I believe that Rob Walton owns this car now.

#10, Milt Davis/Wade Carter...entrant, James M. Cleland

#77, Bernd Leckow

Wright, Eyerly, Davis, Carter and Cleland are no longer with us. More on James Cleland, who passed away in 1997, here:

SEATTLE - Former Volkswagen dealer James Cleland, 79, died Jan. 24. He helped found Volkswagen Washington Inc. in 1955, and ran Metro Volkswagen in Seattle from 1962-74. He later imported used Mercedes-Benz cars from Germany, and retired in the late 1980s.

I found a listing for a Bernd Leckow in Marana, Arizona.

I believe that the Porsche Cars NW #91, Gary Wright/Mike Everly car is 307828S although it was NOT run as an S in that event as I believe that only the base model cars were eligible at that event - not "S's" and it was last sold here.
The #77, Bernd Leckow car is 308162 and is still around although i dont know who owns either at this stage. Also it was NOT an S but was equipped with all the upgrades (rallye kit; sprts kit II etc)

I am not sure what the other one was but given it is likely that it also was not an S or L it may be harder to track down.

The person I think who would have close to the best handle on all three cars (if anyone does) would be Don Ahearn - http://www.porsport.com/ as he has owned at least one of these cars I believe and seems to have a knack of coming up with trans-am Porsches

Rob Walton ran the Wright/Eyerly car at Rennsport in 2011, so I presume he bought it at the 2010 Bonhams auction.

I will certainly contact Don Ahearn. Apparently, he had the Leckow car at some point.

I'm lucky to be the custodian of the Bernd Leckow #77 car. I wrote about it in this thread while trying out my fictional writing chops (I'm keeping my day job ;-).

The car survived the trans am racing series amazingly intact and today is a great example of an early factory race car from that period. I can't take much credit other than having the will / luck to buy it just before it became publicly available from Don (who did a great job balancing restoration with preservation).

Edit - Bernd Leckow and Erhard Dahm and both alive and well. Bernd is in Marana much of the year and in Chicago at other times. Erhard is in the Detroit area where his dealership from the 60's still operates (very successfully).

Pacific Raceways is celebrating the 50th anniversary of that very race (PR's first t/a race) this July 1-2.

I had an email inquiry from an original and present ESR member as to who now owns the #91 car ?

He once owned the car and has historic material pertaining to it...
