Enclosed car transport Seattle to Chicago - recommendations?

Hi All,

I need to move a running 996 GT3 and several boxes of parts from Seattle to Chicago sometime in the next 4-6 weeks. I am aware of all the big companies and the brokers and have used both in the past. I'm wondering if there are any small/reliable/insured owner/operators you can recommend for this job/this route?

You could check with Chris Ridgeway (714-402-0129). He has a two-car trailer and is based in CA. He's helped me with a few moves and is completely reliable. You can tell him I gave you his name.

I also have used Chris Ridgeway for transport. All went perfectly. They also do transport for Emory Motorsports.

Scott --- Another vote for Chris Ridgeway. He moved our Speedster from MI to Tacoma with white glove treatment. There was also a 911 RS Lightweight as its roommate in the trailer.

I would give these guys a try, I sent them a quote request and they had great response and their equipment looks impressive. Right at $1.00 per mile, contents coverage insurance at $5,000,000. I didn't end up using them because as it turned out the car deal I was working on didn't work out. But these guys seemed pretty well dialed in to the sports car market for enclosed transport.

Just stay away from the Gypsy transport companies. They have very very limited insurance and often move cars around from trailer to trailer. They often show up with a cattle truck and ramps to load a car even though the broker specified a lift gate truck.

Yep.
I still have the Targa that Redneck Relocators hauled for me several years ago. The Targa top latches were blown out so the roof wasn't 100% secure. So of course what would any Mensa Hillbilly do? They tied a ratchet strap around the middle of the car and buckled the Targa top.
