R I P Howard Shoemaker
Long time Porsche pusher and friend of the factory, Howard Shoemaker, passed Jan 28 at 85. I`d known "Shoe" for 45 years, and he will be missed. He was the founder of the Great Plains Region of the PCA in the 1960s. Here`s a few pics, and some "toons" from his factory-published Cartoon Booklet from the 1960s......Bill Brown

RIP one of a kind Howard.

That is very sad to hear about. RIP Howard

I well remember his cartoons in Road & Track in the 60s. He was a funny guy. RIP.

The cartoon booklet was a gift decades ago. Next time I saw Shoe, I told him my fav cartoon was the last one above......and Shoe replied "Oh Brother, a full toolkit!".........only Shoe!

Mickey Mouse
One of my favs from Shoe. He used to help wrench on Cy Dieter`s 550 in Omaha back in the day. On the cover of an old PCA Great Plains Region "Der Skooner" mag, there`s a pic of Shoe drivin his Speedster with the top down, and he`s wearing a Kaiser Wilhelm spiked helmet.......priceless! I`m on a mission to find that pic.
