My 1968 L came originally with an "electrically heated rear window", option 9484 at a cost of $100, together with tinted glass all around. All windows match in terms of a Sekurit stamp (windshield has none), together with the Porsche "P" in its triangle, the switch is still on the dash but no electric filaments in the glass. So, either all windows were replaced at the same time (no evidence of that in very detailed maintenance history from new), rear window was replaced very early on but without the filaments, or the filaments were on top of the glass and have been removed/scrapped off. Two pictures attached, one of rear side window, one rear window.
And a related question, would the windshield have been Sigla, even though all other windows were Sekurit? My 356 is like that, as, I was told, Sigla was a trademark primarily for laminated glass (windshields) and Sekurit was non-laminated.
Any views?
