Pics of 2017 Techno Classica

So I went to the Techno Classica this year after a 10 year break.
This is still an amazing show. Won't discuss if this is or not the biggest Classic cars show in the world but this is huge. Lot of Porsches. Beautiful original cars and a lot restored cars.
Asking prices are totally crazy but it has always been the case.
A little disappointed by two things:
- this is the biggest gathering of repop orange bars hood crests. Extremely hard to find an original orange bar hood crest on any of the cars that were exposed
- same comment for the repop dashes. Even the cars presented as non restored/original now have repop dashboards that 1/ don't fit well and 2/ have the speaker grill with holes punched by a 5 year old. Soon somebody will look at my grill and tell me it is not original because the holes are perfectly aligned. When mistakes done during restorations are becoming the new standard....

Still a lot of beautiful cars and a great time...

Didn't get picture of that one's vin.

If memory serves me right the yellow green RS above was vin 1084 or 1085 or thereabouts?

Generally the RS examples I looked had mistakes made by people restoring them who had clearly spent money but done stuff wrong ...which is always a pity.

This 911 below seemed to have avoided being all gussied up for the show which I liked but I'm less familiar with that model year

Picked up a few items in the autojumble literature areas for surprisingly good price by digging ...for example this little factory school training booklet on adjusting mfi engine models dated mid 71 for just a few euros. Great condition with just a couple of in-period handwritten notes where it looks like some dilligent student neatly annotated the original print copy with additional correct test equipment measurement values for what would have been at the time the new 2,4 and 2,7l 911 mfi engines.

However generally asking prices were high although not as silly as some asking price "muppetry" by some sellers on eBay and elsewhere.
