Rear Parcel Tray Removal

Before I start pulling and tearing, thought I'd seek the Oracle's advice-

'66 911 Does one remove the parcel tray from below, sliding the vertical portion up? (Given that the cross piece and the various screws are removed first).

I have tried wiggling the vertical portion a bit but seems a bit jammed against the interior wheel housing covers.

Appreciate suggestions.

yep--thats the way to go(i assume you also removed the luggage brackets )
sometimes the parcel tray is fixed also here.

Those lower corners being "fixed" .... as with screws or just cement typically?

same screws + washers as used for the top garnish rail that keeps the shelf in position.

sometimes they put carpet pices or even door seal leftovers in between the firewall and the shelf to prevent ratteling.
nevers seen that is was intentially glued...but you never know
