Early 911 Heat Exchangers and original Leistritz Muffler
Hello, everyone- I have a few parts that have been hanging around in the rafters of my garage for YEARS that I am going to finally move on to a new home.
ONE: Set of two (2) heat exchangers I pulled off either my 1968 Euro 911T or my 1968 911 Normal. I swapped them at the time to a better set that did not have rust holes in them. (I was going to patch them, but at that time I just found a better used set.) I just cleaned them up a bit to get a good look at them, see photos.
TWO: I used this muffler for a while until I swapped to a custom one, it is an original Leistritz two in/one out with a date code of 01/78, so I guess it was intended for an early 3.0 liter car. (I was using it on my 2.0 and it was fine, I think it's fine for any of the 2.0/2.2/2.4/2.7/3.0/3.2 cars.) Other markings are "B Nr 4210739", "Typ 911/1" and "Made in W Germany." I sprayed it flat grey primer a long time ago, otherwise original. Nice shape, no rust.
I realize shipping these awkward things might be difficult, but I'm sure we can figure it out.
I miss my early 911's terribly, and hope to have another one day! I keep appraised of the club and have stayed a member off and on over the years. I'll attach photos. I haven't priced this kind of thing in a while, but on Ebay the '65-'73 heat exchangers I see in similar condition seem to be $400-$700 a pair, and the mufflers seem to be $270-$550.
How about $800 for everything?
