Verifying Rubber Seals @ Rear Center Panel

Guys
Before final install and any trimming (? Not sure )
The seal at the top edge to body seems to fit as I have shown ( please confirm) also fragile to stay in position without glue , or should be glued ?

The seal that slides in the channel seems correctly installed (please confirm)
Do the overhang edges of this seal get trimmed? Or do they just lay against the body return ?

I used the silicone lubricant as shown , works great

I'm pretty sure the seal with the license light cutout is upside down. The license panel to body seal I install as I'm pushing the panel on, once it touches the body it will stay on. Use glue if you want to. Both seals need trimming.

I'm very sure the seal is upside down .

Remember, the silicone spray will help get them in but the silicone won't allow any glue to actually stick

Thanks for responses ……will turn seal over .
The lube was only for sliding the one seal not the one to go against the body .

Btw ….congrats to Ed on the 1st place Autocross at Parade !

Thanks for the mention. The two oldest cars there were the 72 914-6 zoomie that got FTD, and my 72 S, in which I finished in the top 15% of all the cars there. Not too bad for a 49 year old car.

You never cease to amaze. Have not lost your touch. Top 15% of ALL CARS is stupendous.

That’s amazing to be top 15%
Interested to know your top speed and highest RPM.
I remember my 356 autocross never above 2nd gear and think top speed was 50mph
Don’t recall RPMs
