My car had an aftermarket AC installed at some point. I’ve removed it and now have a hole in the passenger footwell. I would like to weld in an appropriate sheetmetal replacement. Anyone have one or point me in the right direction?

I think you'll find that each 'hole' is a bit different depending on how the installer did it. I've done this repair before...easiest and best is to trace the hole (or make it square) and mig-weld in a replacement piece of sheetmetal. Depending on how much effort you want to put into it, it can be an invisible repair in the end.
