After much search, I found correct diameter binding for drivers manuals. One 12.25 inch spiral actually does two early 911/912 manuals and other similar manuals (check size). Uncoil the original spiral from one end while coiling on the new binding from the other end, cut and bend end with needle nose pliers to match original. $20 shipped to ContUS.
