Those are not correct knobs for a '65 radio. That is a '73-'74 radio pictured with the large rubber knobs.
They look like this and are not easy to find.
I have a May 65 Blaupunkt. The correct knobs and bezels for that radio look like the ones in first photo. They do not have the additional round tuning parts shown in the second photo. I got the correct knobs from Ingo at VintageBlau. Ingo told that me that those chrome tuning parts are correct for the 66 911. From what I can tell, the radio in the previous post appears to be installed in a 66 as it has the type of hazard flasher found in a 66 911.
I don’t know about USA but wonder if the presence of the chromed secondary knobs is a function of the chosen radio’s features rather than being determined by the 911 year? Typically there were a wider range of radio options from Blaupunkt in Europe than the comparatively few radio options offered in USA. While I don’t know the options for 65 USA of the particular radio model fitted had additional features those might’ve been controlled by inner and outer shaft so required both? Perhaps that’s reason some have outer controls and some don’t.
I certainly have a number of the secondary silver ones. Think they changed a bit would have to check in my little stash.

I probably have Blaupunkt technical dating from the era.
I’d also need to check Blaupunkt technical references USA and Europe models for the radios offered on 911/912 at time to see if that old paperwork informs.

The earliest Blaupunkt I’ve seen with rubber primary and plastic pointer secondary knobs was a 67 code New Yorker, 68 was the big safety year at least in the US.
