Did Porsche ever make 15" donuts? I switched to an 85-liter RS tank and a regular 15" wheel won't fit. Any help is appreciated.

Doubt it’s of help but the 73 RS in U.K. (and ones with ac?) had a series production steel tank which accommodated a full sized 185/70x15 on usual 6X15 flat Fuchs rim. RS with plastic tanks had a space saver tyre on steel rim supplied along with a red gas cylinder to inflate — later a 12v ivory coloured air compressor made by Webster of Canada was supplied to inflate it . Not seen regular wheel tyre in cmbibatin with that plastic tank. I used to have a genuine 110 litre plastic tank of the type used in 73 RSR but since never fitted it I’m not sure how spare would’ve been accommodated if I’d decided to use it.

I haven't tested fitment, but there are mini=spares (mmm donuts) for Boxster caymans around the 986/987 period. I have a spare, spare here in NJ if you want to try it out. it's up for grabs if you want it.
