Original Cibie 170mm Bi-Iodes

This is a set of unrestored original Cibie Bi-Iodes in excellent condition. They currently have amber shrouds over both low and high beams bulbs. The low beam shrouds can be removed if desired but the high beam shrouds have to remain in place.

As you know, the 170mm Cibie Bi-Iodes are the ones used by Porsche on their rally cars, such as the 911R, 911ST and 911RSR. If you have one of those you gotta have Cibies. Otherwise these are simply the most bitchin' headlights ever for an early air cooled Porsche.

Eric Linden has applied his famous attention to perfection in the production of the original Hella SB19 US-spec sealed-beam headlight housings which I now use for these (and the new Platinum Plus LED Headlights). Everything is built using the highest quality materials and all parts are perfect in appearance and fit is precise. Until now the only 7" trim rings available have been made of steel. That's fine but steel is not very malleable which can at times make it difficult to mount the assemblies. Eric has solved that issue, using a brass substrate, 45% more malleable tan steel making for easier mounting.

I've set the price for these at $3,500 for several years now and that's where these are priced, even with the housing upgrade. I don't think I will be able to maintain this price level much longer.
