Early Hubs on Later Struts? Advise Needed.

Help!

I have a friend that wants to buy a set of M-Struts and calipers from me. He also needs hubs but mine are from a 66. Would these hubs work on a later "vented rotor" suspension? Here's the details as I see them:

* Total height is roughly 12mm shorter than a later hub. This could be an advantage as he might be able to get a slightly wider tire under the front (he's using them on a 914)

* Rotor mounting surface is 2mm taller (toward the outside of the car), I'm guessing this 2mm minus the caliper spacer would account for the difference in the solid vs. vented rotor.

Anybody have any experience using early hubs with the later vented rotors?
