hello

I just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I bought my first Porsche, a very early '65 912 (#450355) in 1975 and still have it. It's a very rough car, has been in an accident and has the usual rust you find on northeast cars. In 1980 I bought a '65 911 (#301368) that I also still have. My wife says I have seperation anxiety. The 911 is complete but needs alot of work, again with the PA rust. I have a '78 SC as my daily driver (9118300015)for summers, learning a valuable lesson from the early cars. Along the way I've owned a couple very entertaining 914s also. I love these cars.

Welcome Dave. There are guys here who have been through it with rust repair. If you like us enough to hang around, you might join up...so the funds are there to keep this forum going. :)

Dave, there are a number of short wheel base experts on the BB to exploit - present company excepted. Give them the tough questions and you will be rewarded with a wealth of info. Welcome

I believe 'fuggly' is the word, and thank you for the 'high-ball' price. I could only hope to get that amount. :D The work done by Ace Upholstery in Kirkland on the headliner is amazing (and weighs less than Dane's ;) ). I saw a 560SL he just comleted (new leather seats, carpets, door panels, headliner, trunk, etc and his work is phenominal). And the price wasn't a shock, unlike just about everything else. Better bring you check book and LOTS trading stamps if you want the car.
