question: which one for a 1970?

hello all,
if you would kinly help and clarify which (if any) mirror would be original to a 70S. the mirror on the left came from my 71E and the mirror on the right is smaller in diameter and without the is flush (ie. without mirror inset). i have a big square post 73 mirror on my 70s now and need to replace it with a correct one.

If you still have that broken mirror from your 71E, you can easily fix that. The black ring pops out (use something like a strong tooth pick), a replacement glass costs about $3. Glue the old rubber seal to it (which is on your old glass) and you are all set.

the body of the 'correct' mirror is all dinged up. i think it may be beyond repair, also its pretty well rusted inside. thanks.

Absolutely - the one on the left is the '70 mirror.

thanks for the confirmation. does anyone have an extra lying around? i have the rubber 'gasket' already. i also have a 74 mirror in great shape that i'd trade for and or $$$. thanks for your consideration.
