Rear fender flares '69 - '73
Sorry if this is a re-hash. I couldn't find anything via search.
Could someone clarify the changes in stock rear fender flares for the various model year 911s from 1969 to 1973? I've consulted books and the internet but I get conflicting info about the year-to-year changes in rear fender flares. I know that subtle flares began in 1969 on the LWB cars but I'm told they were slightly increased for '72 (and remained the same for '73). Is this correct? Is there a difference between a '71 rear flare and a '72 rear flare? I can't spot the difference in photos and I can't seem to find the documentation in books to back it up. What's the real scoop on rear fender flares? How about fronts, for that matter, too? I know we have experts among us. Thanks for the help.
