I just received the factory front license bracket kit from Stoddard's (see photo). Are there actual instructions with dimensions from Porsche in the shop manual for the installation or do you just eyeball it center and perpendicular and go?

Mount the plate on the bracket. Find the center of the plate and mark it with a piece of tape. Measure between your headlights and find the center. Mark that with a small piece of tape. Hang a small weight from a string to act like a plumb bob from the hood center mark while holding up the plate and bracket, lining up the center mark on the plate with the string. Once lined up, mark through the holes of the brackets with a white board pen that won't stain. Then drill away!
Thanks, Don. I installed the bracket and front plate this morning. It was very easy once the first hole was drilled!
The front plate hangs down pretty low- I've already bent the lower section of the plate just going up my driveway at my normal speed. Luckily it bends back easily. I'll just have to slow down on dips and drive like I have a fiberglass front bumper.
BTW, if anyone needs this bracket kit the part number is 901.701.051.24 with a retail of $23.05 at Stoddard's.
