Actually, they won't fit. These go into holes at the top of the seats - in my 68 911S the poles for the headrests are flat and goes into holders on the back of the seats.

Yes... where can I find something like that in black? :)

Here is the link for these repo's. It sounds like to me you have seats from a pre-'68 ('65-'67 911/912) or maybe late 356. These headrest came with or were an option for at least these years....not quite sure on the 356 but pretty sure on the 911's.

Thanks for the link! :) Wow, they are not cheap - makes me wish I had bought a pair that came up earlier on eBay... my 911S is a 68 model but made in late 67.

There are more sources, from some you have to recover them yourselves. Important is how close to original do you want them?

By the way I recently saw a set of originals selling for over $600 on eBay and those were not NOS :(

I don't need originals but something that's close enough would do. :) I am still kicking myself for not bidding on a pair that came up recently.
