Engine bolted in, now what?

After partly rebuilding the engine in my 69S to get rid of an oil leak I have gotten as far as reinstalling the engine by bolting it in at its rear engine mounts and at the front transmission support. Now I have to bolt together the axle, connect the oil lines and gas line, and then connect the wiring. But I have a few questions:
1. do I need a new gasket for the halfshaft joints?
2. how does the oil line going to the external oil tank run? I think the connection is at the bottom of the case but what is the route the line takes to get to the tank?
3. since I am installing PMOs I either need a new gas pump or new regulator. I assume it would be cheaper to keep the gas pump and change the regulator? What kind of regulator would be best and how much should it cost?
4. as to the wiring---I know the starter needs to be connected, the backing lights, the coil, the spark plugs, and the sensors for the dash gauges. What am I missing?

Don,

As you are using the PMO carbs, why not get them to send you the pressure control unit that they supply in some of their kits?

#1 unless you were able to separate those CV's without tearing the gasket, you'll need new ones, and repack the joints while you're there. Don't reuse the original serrated lock washers, use new split type washers
#2 Depends which oil line you have, the original was a rubber line that was routed up over the top of the trans, there will be small brackets to attach it to the side cover and the top starter bolt. If you have the solid line it is formed to pass under the engine at the engine /trans joint.
#3 The carbs must have only 3 psi of pressure at the needle valve, it usually is best to use a low pressure pump, the MFI pump can put out 35-40psi, hard to regulate that down. If you have too much fuel pressure you'll never get the float levels right.
#4 Don't forget the ground strap from the trans to the bulkhead

Anybody got a picture or can you refer me to a picture in a book that shows how the solid oil line that runs under the trans/engine joint should look? I can't find it either in Wayne's book nor in the factory shop mannual. I can't figure it out. Should I have attached this before bolting in the engine?
