1973 911S Project
The '73 S project contines. The interior is out, the engine and gearbox are out. Time to remove the suspension. The car just returned from paint and body. The paint had been done prior to my purchasing it, but it needed to be cut and buffed. Now it really looks great in that bright Florida sun. In addition any signs of the historic racing modifications that were done, were repaired and welded. This basically consisted of holes for the bolt in cage and the fuel cell. The car was never cut up as the intention was to return it to a street car. As mentioned before, the car shows no sign of crash damage or rust. It is a pleasure working on a clean car.
I had the mounts for the RSR replica roll bar welded in and have ordered my seats. In addition, I received back the dash and speaker grill from Tony at Autobahn.
Hope to have it ready for Rennsport.
Here is a link to some pictures, sorry for the quantity of repeats, but I have not finished editing it yet.

I'll try to post some better pictures of the dash. Tony also made the speaker grille. This dash was in terrible shape and I cannot believe how good it turned out. I would highly recommend getting the original dash redone. It is not an exact match for the original in grain pattern, but is definitly better then spending over $1,000 for one that doesn't fit!
Stefan - I look forward to seeing you at Rennsport. Sorry we missed calls. I was calling you in reference to my 1979 911SC. I fitted some older Recaros to it and was having trouble finding the correct tracks for that car. I ended up modifying a set, but I am not happy with how the seats are positioned. Do you have anything that will fit this car? PM me if you do.

I thought Tony could only redo dashes while providing a threaded seam at the edge?
