seat base finish

Hi all

I have just spent the last 2 hrs searching old threads for advise on factory correct finish for the tilt bases for 67 sport seats. Seats I have purchased have bases and sliders that have been color customized to the point that I have no clue what is factory correct.

This is exactly the type of question the new forum will make a joy. Thanks in advance. tom

Here's the set in my car. looks Flat blk, but Satin would look better with the seats redone.

I don't know if this helps, but these are 100% original. I am planning on restoring the bases also. Its looks flat, but who knows after 41 years!

To answer your questions on my newly restored bases: They are 1973 double locking tilt brackets. They are powdercoated in gloss black but it is less shiney than paint in the same color. The sliders and levers are clear zinc plated. The allen head bolts to hold the sliders down are yellow zinc. See my new posting in show your seats for the installed seats.
