Help, I have a 69 911T and the door does not close properly. I need to align vertically as when I close the door I have to pull the door up to close...only then it still does not close tightly.
thanks!

Do a search and you will most likely find lots of info.
If I were you, I would check:
1. Tightness of hinge pins
2. General integrity of hinge assembly
After above are confirmed to be ok, you can loosen the hinge to body bolts and manually adjust. Be prepared to spend some time on this to get it right.
Is the door aligned in the opening? If not then adjust hinges until it does but beware of the strike plate. It needs to be adjusted to match the door latch (the mechanism on the rear edge of the door.) Actually, I would be inclined to mask around the perimeter of the strike plate (to provide a reference alignment position) and then remove it completely so that it is out of the door to body alignment equation. Once the door (and window frame too) are aligned within the opening the strike plate alignment may be finalized.
thank you so much for the reply. The door closes only when I pull up so I will try your ideas.
