Sorry I'm a little late but......
Congrats to good friend and Registry member Stephen Childs for the 5 page Peter Linsky (w/Pete Stout supplement) article on Stephen's fantastic ex-Scania/Vabis raced T/R in the current Excellence #167
As I said before, this little blue car is one of the best running, and by far THE best sounding 911's there is ..... :)

I enjoyed the article and seen the car in person. It does sound great.
Stephen is also a very friendly and generous Porsche dude. I was ogling his Carrera GT at a R Gruppe event when he said "go ahead and climb in". I have many pictures of that car. :)
At an RGruppe meet awhile back. Nice guy.

It's a goal to have Stephen professionally 'mic' the interior of that car someday...
As you know, you really don't get the full impact of these high reving small cc cars unless you're on the inside. The induction, the 46's with just their 'hats', are SO much louder then the exhaust it's amazing. That motor has about 4 distinct octaves as it goes up to 8K.......and the last is all shriek.... :eek:

While we were rebuilding my engine in 2003 I was given privilege of the use of Stephen's T/R for that years RGruppe Treffen in Monterey....... It was an experience I'll never forget.
This is going back a few years but I seem to recall Mark Waring had this car over on the Isle of Man for a PCGB event and I recall seeing pictures and video - not sure when though - yeap bloody useless I know !!:rolleyes:
BTW -- IOM Tour I went on was a blast - as quick as you'd like to go sir !! - even the police help us along the way.

i was wondering if i was the only one who can't hear his own exhaust over the induction howl...guess i'm not!:)
i dunno if anyone else has the 2 litre phone ring; it's set as the ring on my phone and when i drove baron's '70 last year i kept reaching for my phone wondering who was calling me. after a while i quit answering cause it was the car 'calling' me!
