Here I go again; I am looking at a car in the San Diego area and would like to find a knowledgeable Porsche "guy" that could/would go look at a car.
If not, then I would need the name of a good shop the car could be brought to for the PPI.
Any recomendations would be appriciated.

Thank you for the two shops; I have a PPI set at Dieters, they were very helpful and took the time to speak with me at length. The cost is more+ than I paid for the last two PPIs combined but it sounds like they will cover every square inch and all mechanicals plus pictures.
I am currently deployed in Iraq so they are unable to call me; however they said they would email me as soon as the car is dropped off, will update me and will contact me as soon as they are finished with the report and cost of repairs.
I am having a very difficult time locating a nice Long hood Hot Rod/ RS-ish Clone.....These multiple PPIs are getting old & adding up.

I'm glad to help out. Dieter's has a strong reputation. There have been a few R Gruppe cars available in the last 2 months. One of the more notable for me was this one. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?t=480474
I'm not sure it's still available but it appears to have had no expense spared.

I just want to put this out there...............
My expierience with Steve at Dieters was outstanding. I mentioned in my earlier post that he/they were exspensive; it is worth every penny. I called him from Iraq, he spent an easy 10 minutes with me on the phone explaining the PPI and what would be done and then explained what I should be looking for in this type of car (early Hot Rod type).
The following day I received a detailed email with what he found with 46 attached pictures; he stoped the PPI short knowing this was a car that did not meet the parameters we had discussed, saving me money. I am sure some shops would not have done this.
