FS: 1967 911S, 2.5L SS, Factory Sunroof Coupe, $44,000
I purchased this car about one year ago with the hope and intent of a complete restoration. I am no closer to starting this project and have less free time now, so I think I will get serious about selling.
The car is a good driver. It does everything (starts, runs, stops, etc) as it should. A CoA is included and shows the car was born 04/03/1967 and was originally Polo Red with Black Leatherette interior. I do not know too much past history and do not know when it was painted white.
The exterior paint is presentable driver quality. The panels are straight and I found no evidence of bondo or major repairs. The chrome is presentable as well. The car has incorrect rocker trim and front bumper trim. The door gaps are not good and could use some adjustments. The doors open and close fine. The hood and deck lid gaps are good. The glass appears original, except the windshield. The electric sunroof works, the deflector is missing. The original 4.5" Fuchs wheels wear some old Michelins. The spare is a steel wheel. I found no major rust issues on the car.
The interior is worn but presentable as well. The carpet has been replaced. The proper green gauges are present and functional. The car was factory equipped with the outside therometer.
The original aluminum case engine with original Weber carbs is present. The case number matches the CoA. The engine was professionally rebuilt by the prior owner about 2006 and some 1000 miles ago, receipts are included. The engine was rebuilt with 90mm -2.7L - pistons and cylinders making for about 2.5L displacement. The engine performs well and runs strong. It does leak a few drops of oil. The transmission shifts smoothly.
Overall this is a good driver quality S and is also a very good starting place for a restoration, return to Polo Red etc.
