P201 or VWAlley Yoke? Advice needed
Hi all.
I need to get my 2.7 motor I am about to rebuild off the counter and onto a stand. I have been looking around for a yoke for the motor and ran across the VW Alley 5 arm yoke for half the cost of the P201 yoke.
Does anyone have any reason why the VW Alley yoke wouldn't work well on my 2.7L I am about to rebuild? It looks like the SIR yoke from Pelican is of the highest craftsmanship which is tempting to have but hey, I would rather spend the money on pretty things on the INSIDE of my motor:D Your comments would be highly appreciated. Thanks all.
Bryan
VWAlley only has a flat mount surface from what I can tell where as the the P201 has a beautiful machined surface to adapt to all models (of which types I have no idea...and why I am wondering if I need to spend an extra $100)

They don't fit the standard Porsche clamp mount, and they don't have holes drilled in the tube for locking to the clamp mount to prevent rotating when tightening or loosening fasteners. We bought one and sent it back.
