Correct tool kit & docs for 67 911S

Just started restoration of 67 911S vin 306483S. It's a Euro car with some docs and tools but I'm not sure they are correct for this car. The owner's manual appears to be correct as it's written in german. Would anyone have some good photos of correct tool kit & docs? Are kits and doc sets available for purchase?

Scott is still around and has beautiful tool kits for sale. I've seen pictures of SWB tool kits in his posts. There are lots of posts here that will give you information on tool kits. Search is your friend.

Here are some of the things that are different from early LWB and hard to find:

Bag in smooth or linen finish vinyl
Klein straight and philips screwdrivers
Unmarked pliers with raised cutting edges. Cutting edges usually polished, may be satin in very early cars.
Spark plug wrench that has a hex shape at the top as well as at the bottom and has no "spinner" at the top.
Lug wrench with bent end
Continental fan belt
Messko tire pressure gauge with gray plastic pouch

I'm sure I forgot something. Corrections appreciated. Call for the toolkit police.

I too have a Euro 67 this is pouch that came with it. I was told it was correct for a 67. I have seen/had many early pouches but this is the only red interior one but sure folks here have a LOT more pouch knowledge than me.

And here is one of Scott's on eBay right now. $1,900 will get it, unless you are outbid. $2,100 Buys it now. I might add that the statement "this is a rare opporunity" acutally is the true. These don't come up often and they are close to the ~$2,500 T-6 356 kit which is very similar in tool compostion.

Eris is quite right about the Kleins. I wondered for years as to when someone would repro these expensive tools. I saw the repros at the LA Lit meet and my first impression was that these were lighter than the real deals.

From what Ive learned, SWB pliers have satin chrome on the raised cutter, not polished which came later. I have a pair that says drop forged[steel, correction] germany on the inside handle, does anyone else have these in a 67 vintage tool kit? Klien changed the part of the screwdriver blade that is in the handle, early are simple fluting, later ones have a machined shape, more angular with cross hatch pattern. I have an original kit that had one of each type.

Yes, while all 64 and 65s are T-6s, not all T-6s are from 1964 and 1965 and yes, the toolkit I was speaking about is the '64-'65 C/SC kit very close to early 911, SWB.

Yes, the Kliens in my kit(s) are 100% original, I guarantee that. And, yes, there are now reproductions available. Thanks.

I've never seen drop-forged stamped on the (correct pliers) Some pliers are stamped Klein and some not, both are correct.

The satin finish, I believe is correct for '64 and '65 356 and early 911s, SWB kits. When they changed to shinier chrome, otherwise identical pliers, is open for debate but I believe is was not until after 1965 MY for sure.

I believe this to be THE definitive site for 356 tools and a great guide for early 911s (based on kits I've seen and have)

My post copying a mention of Scott was to give a starting place for pictures of tool kits. There are many people who are/have sold excellent correct toolkits. Didn't mean to slight anyone.

This pair of "drop forged steel" pliers was in a very nice 65-67 911 tool kit, not sure of exact vintage[sold as 65] but every other tool in the kit was original. I read in another thread here["pliers minutia"] that they were found in an original 67 912 tool kit. It appears to me that they were supplied by Porsche in rare instances. Id like to know if they were a 67 only thing. We need expert help! SSPP?
