I thought for a long time this was just for "S" guys and stock 911's. Maybe I was wrong. I'm a member of RGRUPPE and maybe not even a purist in their group. I have a 72T coupe or maybe now I should say a 72 SCT.
I just finished building a 3.0L engine with special Cams from John Dougherty, European headers and 40mm Webers and 9.5:1 pistons from J&E. With the help of J&B racing in Florida my engine made 233hp and 218 ft/lbs of torque on their engine dyno with single plugs. We ran their twin plug dist and it made 245HP. I'll be installing the twin plug dist later this month.
My car has had a 10 year weight reduction program and now weights 2210lbs with, after the corner balance, 49% front/51% rear weight biasis.
I like the idea of a sleeper rather than something with big flares that draw attention to me so you can see my car is rather subtle. I do like the classic 60-70's look hence the Superlite rims.
