I have a Fuchs, 901.361.012.01, that I found in a collection of Porsche stuff. It is painted a bright yellow as if it was to be used as a spare. I suspect someone "made" this but anyone have any idea if it could be original. Thanks, BillAttachment 240367
That's really odd and I'm curious how it came to be. A deep 6 with a space-saver on it?
How would you de-mount from where it came or even get one of those tires on the wheel?
If you look close, it's a 16" tire. Probably wasn't too hard to put on!

No. That was built up. The part number is a 4 1/2 X 15. The spacesaver might have been on some of the last of the early 6s but, I have seen no evidence. The alloy spares also were not painted like the road wheels on a car with color to match wheels. They were stock with the black background or without paint for some of the racecars.The tire will have a date code on it. Duh..the tire is 16". I fell for your joke......Thanks, Bill.

Harvey, I have a good sense of humor but this time I was serious. I am sure someone made this. I am going to sell the rim as I have no neede for it but wanted to make sure that this was not one of those "Porsche made only four" and it is worth a gazillion dollars. Thanks and it is 4.5x15. Bill
Bill, if you intend to sell, get some good closeup pictures of the back side where the logo, size and part # are stamped.
