Quarter Glass Hinge Bolts

While in the process of reinstalling the Quarter Windows on my 68 911, I noticed I am missing one of the Allen socket hinge mounting bolts (4 for each side). These appear to have a larger allen socket head than a traditional hardware store bought Allen head bolt. I began a search to buy the correct replacement and I can't seem to locate anyone who sells the correct socket screw. I've tried The Bird, Stoddard and S.M. Seems like a stupid chase for one Allen Socket screw. Does anyone know of a source for these?

That bolt is a common metric part, DIN 6912, low head socket screw, 5 x 8. It's common from metric sources but not at your local Home Depot. Head diameter is 8,50; head height is 3,50. For some reason, it is discontinued from Porsche. If only for one (stinking) bolt, can anyone on this Chat List send him a good used one?

Is that the same one that the seat sliders use? If so PM me. I have 20 of them since redoing my seat rail and sliders,

No they are different. The seat rail allen sockets are a 6mm x 15mm long and the quarter glass allen sockets ar a 5mm x 6 mm long. It looks like McMaster-Carr carries the correct flat wide head size.

I want to thank John Esposito for going out of his way to supply me with the missing Hinge Bolt.

The LWD have in the doors and seats sliders a lot of DIN 6912 bolts but in the rear quarter windows the bolt is DIN 7984 M5x8mm
