Not all flippers make $. Road Scholars magazine has an article on flipping. You can make money but not everyone does.
Flippers generally don't buy at auctions. They're big fans of Craig's list. That's where the real bargains are. Maybe eBay but I'm not real sure about that.

I was at Bonhams in Greenwich a couple weekends ago.. and an 73rs sold for something like 550 + fees... to my untrained eye, looked to be a "nice car" but I'm far from an expert
