The transmission pictured has 4-bolt Nadella axle flanges, while a '68 912 will likely have 6-bolt Löbro CV joints.
The cost to convert a Nadella transmission to Löbro flanges is a few hundred US$, although the Nadella parts removed have value too.
Otherwise it would be a direct fit, aside from some front mount hardware.
