Meet Patrick my '71 S coupe
Here are several somewhat unflattering photos of 'Patrick'. I was able to pick him up from the family of the longtime owner and drive it down to the R Gruppe Treffen in SLO. I think he was a well recieved by the guys.:)

Take a good look at the steering wheel. The car came with a pile of parts which included 2 old steering wheels wrapped in old newspaper. The wheel on the car now is the wheel that the PO called his 'concours' steering wheel. I was totally :eek: when I saw the part #.

There are quite a few on this board that deserve my thanks for the endless emails and hours of questions about these outstanding early cars. After two long years of very patient (and sometimes frustrating) searching, I bought this car in September. I apologize for taking this long to post (I have been driving too much) but I wanted to take some shots of this original beauty in the mountains, but with crappy weather on the way, that has been put on hold. These shots are old but represents the car well. I have gotten her tuned for the higher elevation and she now runs like a top, but better than that -- two different shops as well as four paint/restoration shops have looked at her and have all verified the original, unmolested condition. It is really cool to have West German glass!! I have an outstanding painter lined up to respray this winter, so by the time Parade comes to my backyard, she will be looking spiffy. Thanks again to all that helped in my search!!
Detailed photo of grill cover
Cam,
Looks really nice,
Do you have a better photo of the grill cover? Was this self made or purchased?
Where did you get those rear wheels? Are they Superlites?
Thanks,

Fall pics (my contribution)
I haven't posted any pics of my new old car (aka Wolf's old car) but figured as much as I like to check out everybody else's great cars on this forum, I should do my share.
Funny thing about these old 911s. I bought mine thinking a full resto would be fun and "putting around" in it would be all I'd do when it was finished. My first run to 7k in second and third gear really turned my whole world upside down though. I wish I could've seen my own face :eek:.
It took a little while to get used to actually trusting a 41 year old factory hot rod enough to get me to work and back, but it has and does just fine. It smoked a bit and smelled funny at first but a heavy right foot seems to have fixed that little trait as well. The quarter windows make A/C unnecessary (at least on reasonable days), and the sounds running up through the gears...well, you guys know.
I'm now thinking that a bit of work on a few rust bubbles on a door and some surface rust cleanup on the pan is probably going to be the extent of my "full resto" for a few years. A correct black 67 interior is on the list too (almost there) but the hell with tearing this thing down to the shell right now, It drives too nice as is (thanks again Wolf!)
I'm pretty lucky to have a modern version of an early S to compare the old car to. They're both great cars...twins separated by 37 years of development. I Have to include my two favorite pics of this one as well, early S or not. Enjoy...

Canadian Canary Yellow 67S
Thought it was time to show one of my cars; Not quite finished inside, but will be soon , if we ever get rid of this F#&%>> BRUTAL WINTER !!
Kardex; Matching #'s 67S ; 100 LTR Gas-Tank; Rearwiper; Outside Temp Gauge;
Sports Seats; Houndstooth; Cibies;
Engine now being re-built; I was told by the previous owner, that this Canary Yellow car was originally ordered as a Rally car with these options;
I am somewhat biased but I believe Canary Yellow and Irish Green were two of the nicest colors in 67; Just my 2cts worth; No I don't have an Irish Green car, but do have a 70T E Conda Green;
