No, at Buttonwillow. I have a LeMons race there that weekend with our BMazdaW's :) As long as they do a separate run group for race cars and LeMon cars like last time. No way I'm taking the 911 out there in the same session as the LeMon cars......Way too risky with all those POS cars and beginners running around.Quote:

I have been getting some questions on the decals. I may offer them for sale after a few tweaks. I could not find what I wanted, so I made them up.

Lookin' good, Chad. Do you have any POC events at Willow Springs or Fontana scheduled for the 2011 season? I will likely be spectating at most of the Willow Springs club race/time trial days and would love to see the car in person after its transformation. :)

I agree with Karl's comment....your car is DROP DEAD GEORGEOUS! It's a great color, and the execution of the whole project is top drawer...almost too nice for a track dedicated car. It will be interesting to see your times at Big Willow with the wider rear set up. It is always satisfying to run a car that you have built yourself, and better because you know it inside out. It makes the tuning easier, and there is a higher confidence level sooner I think. The decals look great too. Looking forward to seeing some pics of track events.

Flieger- I might be going for the championship with VARA or HSR. Not sure yet. I want to try and do a few POC races, I had so much fun out there.
Thanks Gib- I agree, it's probably too nice to race but f%^$ it. you only live once. :) We have to get your car on the track. Better yet, both at the same time for photos.
Here it is all loaded up itching to get on the track. I have to be careful loading it because it is W-I-D-E. The shake down is tomorrow. I have alot of new things to get use to.
Maiden Voyage Track report:
It was a great day yesterday. Grip is amazing (once tires are heated up). I was mad because the Track managment chose at the last minute to change directions. They changed it so we were running the opposite way than we normally race. I have no idea what a good lap time is this direction. It was like I had to learn a new track, with a new car. I was hoping to compare apples to apples with lap times from my previous races. My best lap yesterday was a 2:07 (BW#13 CCW), but I was not pushing it fully. The track had mud and lakes all around from all the storms. I did not want to push it and go surfing, get stuck, or worse- flip. I had a minor off on the 2nd lap, I got a little impatient. Note to self: The huge tires need more time to heat up when it is 42 degrees outside.:o My first spin in 6 years- I'm still mad at myself.
Its always a good day when you do not have to open the toolbox, or put the car on jackstands. Everything worked well. No rubbing of the rear tires on the fenders! The suspension seemed really good with the changes I made. I might tighten the front bar one notch before the next test day.

The car looks good but I am sure it will look (and drive) even better when the weather brightens up. :)
