$ 950.000 low estimate for Steve McQueen's 911S?

Funny......My 55 Speedster went to Cage for 115 grand five years ago....he trashed it.....it recently sold for 150K......i think it would have sold for that or more if he had never owned it!

Okay, looks like the "Cage Factor" alone doesn't help much... But wait, there's more! He's really kissed Lisa Marie Presley in exactely this RS and I have the pics to proof it! Common guys, this exciting fact must add tremendous value to my car, right? Sorry, have to leave, must inform all auction houses right now :D

By the bye , king of the cool factor did not seem to affect the 208S. The example at Gooding brought substantially more than S.M.'s ex. Of course when he owned this car , he had not yet hit his stride. Plus it was not in a movie.

I guess that it is. I have to admit, I'm amazed by this sale. I don't like the atmosphere at auctions, but the people at the factory know what they're doing.

I have heard the factory passing on much more significant cars in the recent past so was very surprised at the rumor.

Could it have been purchased by the "other" Porsche Museum? The Prototyp Museum in Hamburg; they have deeper pocket and since privately owned, they can react extremely quickly without the need for any board approval....
